Prop 19 losing in the polls.

California's marijuana legalization ballot initiative, Proposition 19, is trailing badly, according to a new Los Angeles Times/USC poll, which found likely voters opposing the measure 51% to 39%.

Until recently, the initiative had led in most polls with support from about half of the electorate. But supporters of the initiative have not raised enough money to run the television advertisements needed to reach voters across the state. Opponents of the measure have also not run an active television campaign, but historically, the burden of persuading voters usually falls to the proponents.
The measure, which needs a majority vote to pass, would allow Californians who are at least 21 to grow up to 25 square feet of marijuana and possess up to an ounce. Cities and counties could authorize commercial cultivation and sales, and could impose taxes.

Chris Leben lands DUI.

Chris Leben -- the UFC fighter who starred in the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter" -- was arrested in Hawaii earlier this week after allegedly crashing his truck while hammered. Police released Leben after he posted $1,000 bail, Hawaii News Now reports. He was held initially on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He also is accused of driving without a license or proof of insurance, according to the report.
Leben has had run-ins with authority before. He was jailed for several days in April and May 2008 after he turned himself into authorities in Clackamas County, Oregon because the sheriff's office revoked his probation stemming from an earlier DUI offense. Leben violated the terms of his probation when he moved to the Hawaiian island of Oahu from Oregon.

Sit your drunk ass down somewhere!

150 TONS of weed seized at the border

More than 100 tons of marijuana bound for the US has been seized in Mexico in the country's biggest drug bust in years.
Security forces launched a pre-dawn raid at three properties in the border city of Tijuana, where they found some 10,000 sealed packages of dope.
Army General Alfonso Duarte later told reporters the weed had an estimated street value in Mexico of 4.2bn pesos - about 214million.
"Three operations took place simultaneously co-ordinating municipal, state, federal and army authorities," he said.
"Approximately 105 tons (was found). We think this equals the amount we seized in the last 10 months."

Figures show Mexican police have bagged some 130 tons of marijuana over the past three years across the entire state of Baja California, where Tijuana is found.
The huge bust came after local police were involved in a shoot-out with gunmen riding a convoy of seven vehicles. State officers and the army sent reinforcements to the scene and helped to out-muscle the gang. Eleven men were arrested and a load of marijuana was found in some of the vehicles, apparently prompting confessions from the detainees. Security forces were then pointed to more of the illegal substance at a local ranch, a home and an apartment.
General Duarte said the blocks of dope had been wrapped in different colors and labeled with apparently coded phrases - some were even stamped with pictures that included TV character Homer Simpson. Local criminal gangs were stockpiling the weed to smuggle into the United States, according to the general.
Mexico has been involved in a protracted and bloody war on drug cartels since President Felipe Calderon launched a crackdown in 2006. Some 28,000 people have been killed in the battle between the criminals and government forces.

The Simpsons Catholic?

The official Vatican newspaper has declared that beer-swilling, doughnut-loving Homer Simpson and son Bart are Catholics — and what's more, it says that parents should not be afraid to let their children watch "the adventures of the little guys in yellow."
"Few people know it, and he does everything to hide it. But it's true: Homer J. Simpson is Catholic", the Osservatore Romano newspaper said in an article on Sunday headlined "Homer and Bart are Catholics."
The newspaper cited a study by a Jesuit priest of a 2005 episode of the show called "The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest Star". That study concludes that "The Simpsons" is "among the few TV programs for kids in which Christian faith, religion and questions about God are recurrent themes."
But executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly on Monday he was in "shock and awe" at the latest assertion, adding that the Simpsons attend the "Presbylutheran" First Church of Springfield.
"We've pretty clearly shown that Homer is not Catholic," Jean said. "I really don't think he could go without eating meat on Fridays -- for even an hour."

Obviously Homer isn't Catholic but I wonder how the Catholic Church is going to take that one. It took The Beatles like 40-50 years to get blessed and Homer did it in 20. And then to have the writers kind of blow the church off is wild.

One night at The Roxy.

Just went in at Roxy wit Power 106

Last night I got the liberty of scoring tix to go see Waka Flocka at The Roxy in LA. I actually got them from Miss Info off her website. The whole show was UStreamed on his site and i heard had great angles. I got there about 30 mins early and had to wait in line for about an hour. Things were about hectic line wise because people getting hooked up had to wait.
Once I got inside at about 9, the wait was about another hour. Waka took the stage promptly at ten as promised and things picked up in to over drive immediately. He shot in to some crowd favorites and everyone had there hands up jumping around. It honestly looked like a rock show for "Love That Gun Sound". After 2 more songs he broke in to "Hard N The Paint", then immediately told his DJ to play it back. Then took his shirt off and jumped in to the middle of the crowd and started moshing with all his fans. I was standing shoulder to shoulder with him as he jumped around, shook his braids, and had his arms around people like comrades. Easily the highlight of the show.
The show continued with other songs like "No Hands", "POW", where i believe he was holding stripping contests and showering the crowd in dollar bills. Haha it was such a bigger change than what i was used to. He closed his set with the club banger "O Lets Do It", but not before he told the crowd:
“I ain't no Martin Luther King, or no Malcom X,” Waka told the crowd. “Why go to school to be a f**king rapper or a g*d*mn ballplayer, or a sports player? N**ga, you can be an astronaut; n**ga, you can be a lawyer, you can be an engineer. You ain't gotta be no rapper … like, real talk my n**ga. Get a long-term career man. Real s**t.”

Truer words were never spoken from a bamma. Highlights of the show can be seen here!:

Dish ditches Fox.

Dish Network’s 14.3 million customers nationwide will have to do without popular Fox networks as the satellite provider tussles over carriage fees with News Corporation.
Fox removed access to FX, the National Geographic Channel and 19 local sports channels last week, when its carriage agreement with Dish Network expired. The Fox News Channel and local Fox television stations are covered under a different contract and are unaffected by the dispute.
Fox asked for a rate increase of more than 50 percent for its content, Dish Network said in a statement. Dish Network didn't wanna pay, so Fox pulled their channels. Such disputes are becoming common in the television industry as pay-TV providers like Dish struggle to hold the line on pricing rather than pass fee hikes down to customers. Meanwhile, programmers are attempting to increase their fees in order to compensate for rising programming costs.

They better get everything settled because Fox is trying to pull all their channels during the World Series! Dish is going to have alot of pissed customers if they get rid of that midway through the series.

Kanye's banned cover for DTF

SMFH. Honestly Kanye is out of his fucking mind. Not that this is pushing the limit, but this has to be one of the strangest and most simple pictures ever. Let alone an album cover!
West revealed the provocative image on the cover of his upcoming album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, over the weekend on his Twitter and immediately claimed that it had been banned. The colorful illustration by contemporary American painter/sculptor George Condo — who also provided the image for West's "Power" single — depicts a nude, demonically grimacing West reclining on a blue couch and gripping a green bottle while a naked winged woman with a polka-dotted tail straddles him.

I feel like he should be allowed to do whatever he wants with the cover. If you're tripping about sales, put a sticker in the middle of the cover so less people complain. Then again wtf does this cover have to do with anything?

BET top ten rappers.

BET held it's round table discussion to determine the "Top Ten Rappers Of The 21st Century" Friday night October 15.
Here's how the list was decided according to BET.com
BET’s "Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century" is a fierce, no-holds-barred, hour-long special that reveals the ultimate Top 10 List of the last decade’s hottest rappers, whose careers blew up from 1999 to today. Which means, No Jayz, Nas or other rappers that ruled the 90s.
After many heated arguments, the list was finalized. Fans are bound to find the list controversial. BET threw open nominations to BET digital followers, industry bloggers and other social influencers for a “Grand Jury”. More than 25,000 votes later, they returned a Top 15 list of rappers for consideration. Then the grand jury gets to vote on the final Top Ten, based on a rapper’s: flow, lyrics, subject matter, cultural impact, dough, and as needed in the arsenal of a 21st Century rapper –digital skills (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, their own website, etc.).
# 10 Officer Rick Ross
Rick Ross bossed up the game in the 21st century. He is one of the few rappers to survive a 50 Cent rivalry by continuing to put out quality music.

# 9 Jadakiss
Jadakiss has always been praised for his complex rhymes and the meaning behind his words.

# 8 Young Jeezy
Young Jeezy bumps in every whip, from the North to the South. This Southern MC is respected for his hardcore delivery and thug narratives.

# 7 Drake
Aubrey "Drake" Graham has managed to win over the hearts of hip hop fans this past year. After releasing his debut album, "Thank Me Later," Drake has shown that he is the one to watch.

# 6 Ludacris
It's hard to talk about the 21st century without mentioning Ludacris. The Atlanta-based rapper is arguably one of the most consistent when it comes to the quality of his music

# 5 T.I.
ATL-native T.I. may be controversial in his actions, but when it comes to rap, this MC has got the South on lock.

# 4 50 Cent
In less than 10 years, 50 Cent has released four albums, three of which have gone platinum (or in some cases, multi-platinum). This controversial rapper has consistently put out hits.

# 3 Kanye West
The highly successful rapper/producer Kanye West is more than just a rapper. But the level of his rap game has been elevated since his debut.

# 2 Lil Wayne
Lil' Wayne is a rock star. The Young Money Millionaire has shown the most growth in the 21st century.

# 1 Eminem
Selling more records than anyone on the list, Eminem is not only praised for his commercial success, but is highly respected by his peers for his skill.

I definetly feel Eminem and Wayne earned their spot but idk if everybody else's spot is right. Some of these guys dont even deserve to be on the list.
