Wayne gets another #1 album.

Rapper Lil Wayne has become the first rapper since Tupac Shakur to have a #1 album on the charts, while serving time behind bars, after police found a loaded handgun on his bus in 2007.
The rapper, who is currently finishing an eight-month prison sentence on Riker's Island, has the #1 album in the country with his latest release, I Am Not A Human Being, which has moved over 323,000 copies since its release on September 27th.
According to Billboard, the feat marks the first time a rapper has topped the charts from behind bars, since Tupac Shakur did it in 1995 with the release of his classic album, Me Against the World.

Lil Wayne is scheduled to be released from Riker's Island tomorrow (November 4th). He is planning to release The Carter IV in addition to publishing his memoirs, which he penned while he was incarcerated.

Former President Bush talks Kanye West.

President George W. Bush mentions Kanye West in his forthcoming book, "Decision Points," he's not singing the praises of the Chicago rapper who slammed him on a telethon for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, a week after numerous gulf coast cities were destroyed by the devastating storm and its aftermath.
Bush expressed his frustration with the "Runaway" singer in an interview with the "Today Show"'s Matt Lauer to air Monday on NBC's "Matt Lauer Reports." When Lauer asked Bush if he remembered the comments Kanye made about him, President Obama's predecessor offered a matter-of-fact response.
"Yes, I do. He called me a racist," Bush told Lauer.
"And I didn't appreciate it then. I don't appreciate it now. It's one thing to say, 'I don't appreciate the way he's handled his business.' It's another thing to say, 'This man's a racist.' I resent it, it's not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency."
Lauer quoted an excerpt from the book on the matter:
"I faced a lot of criticism as President. I didn't like hearing people claim that I lied about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction or cut taxes to benefit the rich. But the suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all time low."

Big L's brother talks about L's last days.

Mase and Cam both went onto to find mainstream success. Did L remain close with them after their group Children of the Corn disbanded?
Well, L was the first one out, but his career didn’t take off first. Then Mase got that deal with Puff, he started acting stupid. I had to run Mase off the block because his head got way too big for his body.
What happened with Mase?
Mase is a bitch, a straight bitch. I couldn’t believe some of the shit he was saying on the radio. I have no type of respect for that dude. And I would love to speak to him face to face. He’s fake, man. He ain’t into the religion for real. That dude has always been running. He’s scared. Basically, his head got too big for his damn body. I was the one to run him out of 140th street. He was talking so much shit and talking down to people. He must have forgot who he was around.  Well, one day he started talking crazy when I was right there on the block and told him I was going to punch him in the mouth and of course he ran, called his boys. And then he went over to Lamont and L told me to chill, saying Mase was aight. But I told L he can’t come back to the block, so that’s when Mase started hanging on Lenox.
There were always rumors that L was going to sign with Rocafella. Do you remember Jay-Z and Dame coming around?
Jay and Dame came to get L every weekend. I grew up with Dame and the older heads. Right before he got killed, L was with Jay-Z every single weekend. He was going to sign with them around the same time Lee got knocked. Dame would get Jay and come to scoop L, personally.
Do you think L was sure about signing with Rocafella?
Lamont didn’t want to just sign himself. He wanted Herb Mcgruff and one other dude to sign with him. But Jay just wanted him at the time. See, L was trying to get his mans in with him. He didn’t want to come back for them. But I was telling him to sign with Jay and get you own label popping. He was just such a loyal dude. They were in talks, but they couldn’t agree on L bringing his boys with him. He refused to leave his people behind. I think they would have worked something out, but L’s life got cut short.

New Album drops November 23rd!

Mariah Carey pregnant

Mariah Carey has officially confirmed that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting a baby in the spring.
After months of speculation about her pregnancy, the 40-year-old singer spoke with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush about the good news.
“Yes, we are pregnant, this is true!” Mariah shared. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”
“The greatest gift on earth is a child,” Nick said in the interview. “We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that.”

Trick shut up, you know you still on pills. Cant lie, I'd still wife her up. Nick scored on that.

Indonesia hit by tsunami and volcano eruption.

Indonesian authorities scrambled to deal with two deadly disasters on Tuesday after a tsunami and volcanic eruptions struck in separate regions of the vast Indonesian archipelago.
Sumatra Island was devastated after a powerful earthquake resulting in a tsunami killing at least 113 people and left hundreds missing, including at least eight foreigners, officials said. Thousands more were homeless. The tsunami, triggered by a 7.7-magnitude undersea quake, slammed into the remote Mentawai Islands late Monday, wreaking havoc in villages in the south of the island chain and, the authorities believe, sweeping scores out to sea.
Meanwhile, on the island of Java, to the east, thousands of villagers were fleeing multiple eruptions of Indonesia’s most volatile volcano, Mount Merapi, after it began spewing clouds of hot ash in the early evening Tuesday.

Oh yeah, Jersey Shore, YEAH.

"This past Thursday was the season finale of the loved/hated MTV show, Jersey Shore. The anti-climactic episode was an appropriate farewell to a very meh season.
I dont understand what happened to the once perfectly hilarious in their obliviousness cast of stereotypical guidos/ettes, but it seems as though changing the location of these characters affected their entertainment value as compared to the first season. Perhaps during the casts' break between seasons, when they were able to enjoy their new-found fame and money, and because of their already blown up egos, their dynamic was changed. The Jersey Shore crew seemed to have figured out what their audience wanted to see: Snookie's cluelessness, The Situation's doucheyness, Jwoww adjusting her boobs, etc. but since it was forced, it didn't work as well. Comparing last season to this seasons, I could tell the MTV producers had to edit a lot just to get a storyline for an episode. Even up to the last episode, you could tell the "family" feeling was being forced among the cast. Though they had played it before  ("who wants to take a dump on Sammie's chest most?" LOLZ) the cast "decides" to play another round of the question game, altering it to Most Likely Tos. As it had before, the question game is the perfect recipe for an altercation between someone and anyone for these people. Cue Snookie whispering to Jwoww, who confronts The Situation in a separate room, who tells her something about Pauly D, where he ends up screaming at her to the point of his eyeballs popping out of his head- all over a he said/she said/she nodded situation (pun?) I wish I could more clearly explain the reason behind this battle, but I was kind of lost in their nonsense, and really, reasons don't even matter to these people since with a few creepy words from The Situation to Snookie, the conflict was forgotten and the cast is able to call themselves a "family" once more before heading off their respective hometowns.
Will I tune into the third season? Hell yes I will- and following the casts' lead- no reason necessary."

13 killed in TJ raid.

Thirteen men were killed in a raid at a drug rehabilitation center in Tijuana, Mexican officials said Monday.
Masked gunmen forced residents onto the floor at El Camino a la Recuperacion center and then sprayed them with bullets, officials said. Officials have not announced a motive for the killings, but Mexico is gripped in a bloody war among drug cartels.
A total of 28,228 people have died in Mexico in drug-related war deaths, and Mexican President Felipe Calderon has ordered about 45,000 troops to 18 states where drug trafficking organizations are battling for access to the U.S. market.
Earlier this month in Ciudad Juarez, 14 people were gunned down at a family birthday party. The border city has become the epicenter of Mexico's drug war.

I hate my generation.

I found this pic on the google and havent stopped laughing at it. I highly doubt that people like this picture are a common thing in the real world. But for some reason people in New Jersey have adopted a bill known as "The Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights," was introduced by prime sponsors Senator Barbara Buono and Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle. Among the bill's many proposals, it establishes training for school personnel who interact with students coupled with strong accountability provisions.  The bill also provides that a district's anti-bullying policy must include actions that occur off school grounds.

Whatever happened to the good ol days when you could steal the cripple kid's crutches?

Cain Velasquez becomes champ at UFC 121

The undefeated Cain Velasquez tore through Brock Lesnar in a career-defining performance, as he captured the heavyweight championship at UFC 121 on Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. The end came 4:12 into round one, as Velasquez reached the mountaintop just nine fights into his professional career.
Velasquez weathered an early attack from the hulking former World Wrestling Entertainment superstar, kept his composure and picked his spots with power, precision and resolve. Lesnar took down the challenger twice in the first two minutes, and Velasquez answered the challenge seamlessly on both occasions. Velasquez scored with his own takedown 2:48 into the first period, took a dominant position in back of the champion and pummeled him with punches and hammerfists. From there, it was all downhill for Lesnar.
Lesnar twice returned to his feet, only to be met with more strikes from the Cain. A two-punch combination dropped the champion near the cage, and Velasquez pounced. Lesnar fought valiantly to defend himself but ate too many punches, forcing Herb Dean to step in on his behalf.

#Shoutout to Cain becoming the first mexican-american mma fighter to become the first champ in the heavyweight champ. This really sets the stage for Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos. Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir rd 3. And lastly Shane Carwin vs Roy Nelson. The heavyweight division is going to be crazy for a while.

LA Feds let TI slide

Los Angeles prosecutors have declined to file a felony drug charge against T.I. stemming from his arrest last month on the Sunset Strip. According to a charge evaluation worksheet released Monday, deputies found four ecstasy pills on the 30-year-old rapper from Atlanta.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., was on supervised release after serving 10 months in prison for federal weapons charges when he was arrested Sept. 1. A Georgia judge earlier this month sentenced him to another 11 months in prison for breaking his federal parole with the latest arrest.
The Grammy Award-winning rapper is expected to begin his prison term on Nov. 1.

Prop 19 losing in the polls.

California's marijuana legalization ballot initiative, Proposition 19, is trailing badly, according to a new Los Angeles Times/USC poll, which found likely voters opposing the measure 51% to 39%.

Until recently, the initiative had led in most polls with support from about half of the electorate. But supporters of the initiative have not raised enough money to run the television advertisements needed to reach voters across the state. Opponents of the measure have also not run an active television campaign, but historically, the burden of persuading voters usually falls to the proponents.
The measure, which needs a majority vote to pass, would allow Californians who are at least 21 to grow up to 25 square feet of marijuana and possess up to an ounce. Cities and counties could authorize commercial cultivation and sales, and could impose taxes.

Chris Leben lands DUI.

Chris Leben -- the UFC fighter who starred in the first season of "The Ultimate Fighter" -- was arrested in Hawaii earlier this week after allegedly crashing his truck while hammered. Police released Leben after he posted $1,000 bail, Hawaii News Now reports. He was held initially on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant. He also is accused of driving without a license or proof of insurance, according to the report.
Leben has had run-ins with authority before. He was jailed for several days in April and May 2008 after he turned himself into authorities in Clackamas County, Oregon because the sheriff's office revoked his probation stemming from an earlier DUI offense. Leben violated the terms of his probation when he moved to the Hawaiian island of Oahu from Oregon.

Sit your drunk ass down somewhere!

This Saturday!

Brock Lesner vs Cain Velasquez
ITS GONNA BE A SLOBBERKNOCKER!

150 TONS of weed seized at the border

More than 100 tons of marijuana bound for the US has been seized in Mexico in the country's biggest drug bust in years.
Security forces launched a pre-dawn raid at three properties in the border city of Tijuana, where they found some 10,000 sealed packages of dope.
Army General Alfonso Duarte later told reporters the weed had an estimated street value in Mexico of 4.2bn pesos - about 214million.
"Three operations took place simultaneously co-ordinating municipal, state, federal and army authorities," he said.
"Approximately 105 tons (was found). We think this equals the amount we seized in the last 10 months."

Figures show Mexican police have bagged some 130 tons of marijuana over the past three years across the entire state of Baja California, where Tijuana is found.
The huge bust came after local police were involved in a shoot-out with gunmen riding a convoy of seven vehicles. State officers and the army sent reinforcements to the scene and helped to out-muscle the gang. Eleven men were arrested and a load of marijuana was found in some of the vehicles, apparently prompting confessions from the detainees. Security forces were then pointed to more of the illegal substance at a local ranch, a home and an apartment.
General Duarte said the blocks of dope had been wrapped in different colors and labeled with apparently coded phrases - some were even stamped with pictures that included TV character Homer Simpson. Local criminal gangs were stockpiling the weed to smuggle into the United States, according to the general.
Mexico has been involved in a protracted and bloody war on drug cartels since President Felipe Calderon launched a crackdown in 2006. Some 28,000 people have been killed in the battle between the criminals and government forces.

The Simpsons Catholic?

The official Vatican newspaper has declared that beer-swilling, doughnut-loving Homer Simpson and son Bart are Catholics — and what's more, it says that parents should not be afraid to let their children watch "the adventures of the little guys in yellow."
"Few people know it, and he does everything to hide it. But it's true: Homer J. Simpson is Catholic", the Osservatore Romano newspaper said in an article on Sunday headlined "Homer and Bart are Catholics."
The newspaper cited a study by a Jesuit priest of a 2005 episode of the show called "The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest Star". That study concludes that "The Simpsons" is "among the few TV programs for kids in which Christian faith, religion and questions about God are recurrent themes."
But executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly on Monday he was in "shock and awe" at the latest assertion, adding that the Simpsons attend the "Presbylutheran" First Church of Springfield.
"We've pretty clearly shown that Homer is not Catholic," Jean said. "I really don't think he could go without eating meat on Fridays -- for even an hour."

Obviously Homer isn't Catholic but I wonder how the Catholic Church is going to take that one. It took The Beatles like 40-50 years to get blessed and Homer did it in 20. And then to have the writers kind of blow the church off is wild.

One night at The Roxy.

Just went in at Roxy wit Power 106

Last night I got the liberty of scoring tix to go see Waka Flocka at The Roxy in LA. I actually got them from Miss Info off her website. The whole show was UStreamed on his site and i heard had great angles. I got there about 30 mins early and had to wait in line for about an hour. Things were about hectic line wise because people getting hooked up had to wait.
Once I got inside at about 9, the wait was about another hour. Waka took the stage promptly at ten as promised and things picked up in to over drive immediately. He shot in to some crowd favorites and everyone had there hands up jumping around. It honestly looked like a rock show for "Love That Gun Sound". After 2 more songs he broke in to "Hard N The Paint", then immediately told his DJ to play it back. Then took his shirt off and jumped in to the middle of the crowd and started moshing with all his fans. I was standing shoulder to shoulder with him as he jumped around, shook his braids, and had his arms around people like comrades. Easily the highlight of the show.
The show continued with other songs like "No Hands", "POW", where i believe he was holding stripping contests and showering the crowd in dollar bills. Haha it was such a bigger change than what i was used to. He closed his set with the club banger "O Lets Do It", but not before he told the crowd:
“I ain't no Martin Luther King, or no Malcom X,” Waka told the crowd. “Why go to school to be a f**king rapper or a g*d*mn ballplayer, or a sports player? N**ga, you can be an astronaut; n**ga, you can be a lawyer, you can be an engineer. You ain't gotta be no rapper … like, real talk my n**ga. Get a long-term career man. Real s**t.”

Truer words were never spoken from a bamma. Highlights of the show can be seen here!:

Dish ditches Fox.

Dish Network’s 14.3 million customers nationwide will have to do without popular Fox networks as the satellite provider tussles over carriage fees with News Corporation.
Fox removed access to FX, the National Geographic Channel and 19 local sports channels last week, when its carriage agreement with Dish Network expired. The Fox News Channel and local Fox television stations are covered under a different contract and are unaffected by the dispute.
Fox asked for a rate increase of more than 50 percent for its content, Dish Network said in a statement. Dish Network didn't wanna pay, so Fox pulled their channels. Such disputes are becoming common in the television industry as pay-TV providers like Dish struggle to hold the line on pricing rather than pass fee hikes down to customers. Meanwhile, programmers are attempting to increase their fees in order to compensate for rising programming costs.

They better get everything settled because Fox is trying to pull all their channels during the World Series! Dish is going to have alot of pissed customers if they get rid of that midway through the series.

Kanye's banned cover for DTF

SMFH. Honestly Kanye is out of his fucking mind. Not that this is pushing the limit, but this has to be one of the strangest and most simple pictures ever. Let alone an album cover!
West revealed the provocative image on the cover of his upcoming album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, over the weekend on his Twitter and immediately claimed that it had been banned. The colorful illustration by contemporary American painter/sculptor George Condo — who also provided the image for West's "Power" single — depicts a nude, demonically grimacing West reclining on a blue couch and gripping a green bottle while a naked winged woman with a polka-dotted tail straddles him.

I feel like he should be allowed to do whatever he wants with the cover. If you're tripping about sales, put a sticker in the middle of the cover so less people complain. Then again wtf does this cover have to do with anything?

BET top ten rappers.

BET held it's round table discussion to determine the "Top Ten Rappers Of The 21st Century" Friday night October 15.
Here's how the list was decided according to BET.com
BET’s "Top 10 Rappers of the 21st Century" is a fierce, no-holds-barred, hour-long special that reveals the ultimate Top 10 List of the last decade’s hottest rappers, whose careers blew up from 1999 to today. Which means, No Jayz, Nas or other rappers that ruled the 90s.
After many heated arguments, the list was finalized. Fans are bound to find the list controversial. BET threw open nominations to BET digital followers, industry bloggers and other social influencers for a “Grand Jury”. More than 25,000 votes later, they returned a Top 15 list of rappers for consideration. Then the grand jury gets to vote on the final Top Ten, based on a rapper’s: flow, lyrics, subject matter, cultural impact, dough, and as needed in the arsenal of a 21st Century rapper –digital skills (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, their own website, etc.).
# 10 Officer Rick Ross
Rick Ross bossed up the game in the 21st century. He is one of the few rappers to survive a 50 Cent rivalry by continuing to put out quality music.

# 9 Jadakiss
Jadakiss has always been praised for his complex rhymes and the meaning behind his words.

# 8 Young Jeezy
Young Jeezy bumps in every whip, from the North to the South. This Southern MC is respected for his hardcore delivery and thug narratives.

# 7 Drake
Aubrey "Drake" Graham has managed to win over the hearts of hip hop fans this past year. After releasing his debut album, "Thank Me Later," Drake has shown that he is the one to watch.

# 6 Ludacris
It's hard to talk about the 21st century without mentioning Ludacris. The Atlanta-based rapper is arguably one of the most consistent when it comes to the quality of his music

# 5 T.I.
ATL-native T.I. may be controversial in his actions, but when it comes to rap, this MC has got the South on lock.

# 4 50 Cent
In less than 10 years, 50 Cent has released four albums, three of which have gone platinum (or in some cases, multi-platinum). This controversial rapper has consistently put out hits.

# 3 Kanye West
The highly successful rapper/producer Kanye West is more than just a rapper. But the level of his rap game has been elevated since his debut.

# 2 Lil Wayne
Lil' Wayne is a rock star. The Young Money Millionaire has shown the most growth in the 21st century.

# 1 Eminem
Selling more records than anyone on the list, Eminem is not only praised for his commercial success, but is highly respected by his peers for his skill.

I definetly feel Eminem and Wayne earned their spot but idk if everybody else's spot is right. Some of these guys dont even deserve to be on the list.

ETID in trouble over tweets

During the past two weeks hardcore band Every Time I Die has been promoting their upcoming DVD, Shit Happens release by posting faked re-tweets from celebrities such as Kanye West, Andy Dick, Justin Bieber, and Jimmy Fallon. Examples include the following:

"RT @AndyDick i did the Jimmy Kimmel show w/ @evereytimeidie in 08, they’re cracking me up, get their dvd"

"RT @peeweeherman: New ETID DVD in stores 10/26! I sure hope they play THAT in a dark, seedy theater!"

"RT @JimmyFallon @everytimeidie this is brilliant, you guys need to come play my show to promote your new dvd!”

Not surprisingly, their actions have apparently caused a bit a trouble for the band. Earlier today, the group posted the following on Twitter: "it took 7 days for seize and desist papers to show up." Not long after, the band added, "Thanx for the support, glad so many people enjoyed our fake tweets but we can't comment further on the legal troubles its caused, stay posi!"
Minus the whole staying posi statement (so 2006) I feel bad for these d00ds. Having to pay money to some sucker over some fake 140 characters? Get real. Random hardcore blogs are saying that it might be Kanye doing the suing. We'll have to wait and see.

Waka sued for a milli.

Briiiiiiick Squaaaaaad! Monday night Waka makes his first show appearance in LA since filming Hard N the Paint earlier this year.
But currently Juaquin's booking agent is being sued for a no show. Promoter Walter Conwell of G.D.B. promotions has filed suit against booking agents at Hitt Afta Hitt Entertainment, alleging the company wasted thousands of dollars booking Waka Flocka Flame for a June 2009 show in Birmingham, Alabama, which he never performed.
In the lawsuit, G.D.B. claims they paid an $1,800 deposit, and promised Waka Flocka another $1,500 upon arrival. The company's executives were later told that the rapper would not be able to perform due to a scheduling conflict.
They are currently suing for a million dollars.

Back to the Future 25 year reunion.

25 years after originally playing Marty McFly, Michael J. Fox has rolled up his jeans, slipped on his mirrored shades, and taken the driver's seat of Doc Brown's DeLorean once again.
It's to promote this year's Spike TV Scream Awards -- where the cast of "Back to the Future" will reunite -- Fox took part in a shot-for-shot recreation of the original teaser trailer for the movie. The video matches the original in nearly every detail, from the tongues sticking out of Fox's Nikes to the pulsating of the time machine's Flux Capacitor.
The cast are scheduled to reunite (including Fox, Lea Thompson and Elisabeth Shue) on stage at the Spike Network's 2010 Scream Awards on Oct. 19, honoring the best in fantasy and science fiction in film.

A Blu-ray release of the Trilogy will be released on Oct. 26. Stoked!

Kareem Burke arrested.

I didn't wanna write "in massive drug sweep" but apparantly that's what the feds are calling it.
Kareem “Biggs” Burke, co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, which launched the career of superstar rapper Jay-Z, was among 43 people arrested today in a massive drug sweep spanning from New York to South Florida, authorities said. Also nabbed was Matthew Stang, a writer and senior ad rep at High Times magazine, a well-known chronicle of chronic culture.Burke was nabbed early this morning by ICE agents at his home in North Bergen, NJ. The 18-month investigation into the vast narcotics network – headed by Geovanny “Manny” Rodriguez Perez – resulted in $1 million in seized profits and 177 pounds of marijuana.
Perez is suspected of being involved with the New York City drug trade since the 1990s — using couriers with vehicles to move the product and planes to transport the ill-gotten proceeds It was transported in bulk from Florida to New York. From there it was divvied up among three main cells in the NYC-area and distributed to their clients.

Homeboy better be calling up Jigga for favors. (n/h)

Agnostic Front show ends in murder.

News out of Washington DC states a man was apparently beaten to death following an Agnostic Front show at the DC9 Nightclub. According to this report, the man threw a brick through the club's front window. Between three and five people exited the club after the window was shattered, pursued the man down the block and "severely beat him." Police responded to the incident around 2:30 A.M., and the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Five arrests have been made in regards to the incident, with unconfirmed reports saying that those arrested were employees of the nightclub.

Obviously homeboy was a fucking idiot for tossing a brick through a window for not getting in to the club. But you cant be causing a ruckus like that at a AF show, point blank period. Not that AF had anything to do with it, but they got crazy die hard fans. I've never understood how people jump other  people to death. I understand if something pops off you gotta handle business, but you shouldn't be doing more damage than a day of drinking and healing up couldn't fix.

TJ Lavin critically injured.

BMX star TJ Lavin remains hospitalized in critical condition with head injuries in Las Vegas after a violent crash Thursday night in qualifying during a Dew Tour competition.
Lavin, 33, was soaring high over a dirt ramp and attempting a difficult maneuver that entailed becoming temporarily unseated from his bicycle. He failed to get his feet back on the pedals before landing on the down-slope, and became separated from his bike just before impact. The athlete was wearing a helmet, according to Dew Tour spokeswoman Nicole Mancuso.
Video footage of the incident, which was posted briefly on YouTube, has been blocked by NBC Universal, which owns the Dew Tour, over copyright concerns.
The Las Vegas native had brain swelling and was placed in a medically induced coma, TMZ said, after being rushed to an area hospital.

This d00d has been at the top of the game for over 15 years, i hope he makes a recovery.

TI gets 11 months in prison.

See it's times like this when it is MANDATORY for you to have a weed carrier. Last month TIP got caught with ecstacy and herb while in Las Vegas with his wife Tiny. After the arrest, a U.S. probation officer alleged that T.I. committed three violations of his supervised release from prison: possessing ecstasy, testing positive for opiates and associating with a convicted felon.
And for some reason he didn't have one of the lil homies play their part and take the rap for him. So instead of paying for one of your homeboys legal fee's and taking care of said weed carrier's family, his dumbass took the charge.
So today was Clifford Harris' big day in court today and he begged the judge to take it easy on him:
"I want drugs out of my life. If I can get the treatment and counseling I need ... I can beat this," T.I. told the judge, according to U.S. attorney spokesman Patrick Crosby. "I need help. For me, my mother, my kids, I need the court to give me mercy."

Either way, the judge sentenced TI to 11 months in prison, which means about 7 months of real time. And i doubt he'll start serving til top of the year. I mean honestly, homeboy needed someone to take the rap for him. Shit, his wife should've. He is the head of Grand Hustle records for Christ's sake. How much money do u think this is gonna cost him? How bad do u think the rest of the crew is going to starve when the King is locked up?

Hardcore holiday

There's nothing like two great hardcore bands dropping on the same day. And i cant think of any 2 better than Madball and Donnybrook. Sometimes i think hardcore kinda needs a shot in the arm to get kids to go out and support the bands that gave so much to the scene. I love to see some buzz genterated. Kinda like when 50 and Kanye decided to both release their album simultaneously, without the fake retiring stunt.
I'm always stoked to see a great old school hardcore band still putting out solid releases. With over 20 years under their belt, Empire marks Madball's 10th album. This album's release will be under the Good Fight Music label.
The Beast Inside is Donnybrook's first cd since Lions in this Game (2005). They release 12 tracks of assault on there home label Eulogy Recordings. This fall they're planning a “Built On Stuggle” tour with Lionheart, Call To Preserve, and Stand United. Then head over to Europe for a headline tour in the Winter.

Go out and support REAL music!

Marijuana decriminalized in Cali

#LatePass on this. The Govenator passed a bill October 1st that pretty much made getting caught with herb, about as bad as a speeding ticket.
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Senate Bill 1449which reduces adult marijuana possession charges from a criminal misdemeanor to a civil infraction in California. Senate Bill 1449 amends the California Health and Safety Code so that the adult possession of up to 28.5 grams of marijuana is classified as an infraction, punishable by no more than a $100 fine — no court appearance, no court costs, and no criminal record.
Don't blaze your blunt in public too soon tho, cuz Bill 1449 doesn't go in to effect til the top of the year. I commend Arnold for meeting us half way and letting us slide with this seeing as how he's still against Prop 19.

Brett Favre scandal

Shoutout to Brett Favre for being a grandpa and still sending chicks pics of his dick. I'm sure by now everyone has heard the scandal about him and the former Florida State Cowgirl, Jenn Sterger.
Allegedly Brett and Jenn started their text talking last winter when she started recieving texts and voicemails from someone claiming to be Brett putting on his charm trying to win over the curvacious young woman. She said that was all fine and dandy until one day Jenn started recieving photos of his penis from the man claiming to be Favre.
Ms. Sterger said that she didnt want any part of Favre, but somehow the photos still leaked, and shes still linked to the whole scandal. Last Sunday when asked about the scandal, Brett had this to say:
"My main focus is the New York Jets, they are a tough team; as good as they are that has been my focus," Favre told ESPN at a production meeting. "I hate in any way if this has been a distraction as I said Thursday -- we are here focused on trying to beat the Jets."

Haha, yeah, im sure. Plus there's more recent allegations of 2 massage therapists saying he did the same thing. But then again who knows who's telling the truth?

New Big L CD

Finally after a full decade we're blessed with a new Big L CD entitled Return of the Devil's Son due out November 23rd. As far as I'm concerned he's top 5 DOA rappers. The way he spat lyrics was sharp, and his metaphors were insane, decades before his time. That's why its great to see 21 new tracks from the lyrical genius, Lamont Coleman. Dare i say best outta Harlem? Yes.
01. Return Of The Devils Son (prod. Showbiz)
02. Devil’s Son (prod. Showbiz)
03. Zone Of Danger (prod. J-Love)
04. Sandman 118
05. School Days
06. Principle Of The New School (prod. Showbiz)
07. Unexpected Flava (prod. Lord Finesse)
08. Tony’s Touch
09. Right To The Top f. Royal Flush & Kool G Rap (prod. Domingo)
10. Once Again (prod. J-Love)
11. Harlem World Universal
12. I Won’t
13. Hard To Kill
14. Power Moves
15. If You Not Aware
16. I Should Have Used A Rubber
17. Doo Wop #5
18. Yes You Can
19. Audition
20. MC’s What’s Going On (prod. Showbiz)
21. Slaying The Mic

I hope the beat selection is better than his last posthumous record The Big Picture. L's lyrics are always at 100% sharp and witty but I felt like the whole 2nd half of that cd was lacking because of the 3rd rate beats. I don't know who in Big L's camp let Stan Spit get on his records btw.
RIP to one of the greatest men to ever bless the mic, the devil's son, Lamont Coleman!

Nick Swardson's Pretend Time.

Last night Comedy Central premiered Nick Swardson's new show Pretend Time. Its a sketch show slightly reminiscent of Whitest Kids. They had Nick showing off his array of wackiness in such sketches as a millionaire wheelchair cat, an HR manager for a donkey show, a child with an insane bucket list, a car that runs on pee, and his infamous Gay Robot.
To be honest it wasnt the funniest show, especially for him, but it was a nice jump off point. For some reason Ryan Phillipe also had a special guest spot. Nick Swardson's Pretend Time is far from perfect but i'm sure it'll at least get a full season or two. Plus anything is better than giving Michael Ian Black another God awful show for 30 mins.

UFC 121

The Honda Center in (my very own) Anaheim gets the privelege of hosting the showdown between these two titans at UFC 121 on Oct 23.
I dont think anyone can make the arguement that Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez arent the two best fighters in the UFC heavyweight division in a long time. Brock is coming off a decisive title defense from Shane Carwin, which ended early in the 2nd round. Cain is coming from the onslaught victory he gained after defeating Antonio Noguiera. I'm sure its safe to say that whoever wins this match is going to be the champ for quite a while.
The card for the night seems to have a couple other gems such as Tito Ortiz vs Matt Hammil, Diego Sanchez vs Paul Thiago, and Sam Stout vs Paul Taylor. None of the other fights are title matches but all 6 of these guys are still in great athletic shape and are sure to knock somebody out!

Banksy takes over The Simpsons couch gag.

Last sunday graffiti artist Banksy was in charge of the infamous couch gag from The Simpsons. And he has managed to stir up much controversy over the way he has painted the 20TH Century Company.
The intro was about 2 minutes as compared to the usual 15-30 seconds. Banksy showed his odd taste of how life around Springfield REALLY is made. Besides Bart writing all over Springfield Elementary walls, Homer being hit by a car, and Barney laying in a drunken stupor; it shows the living conditions that the people who produce the show's animation have to deal with.
In an underground delapidated cave, they showed rows of overworked asian women coloring in animation cells. While underage boys rinsed the cells in acid, there was a near -dead unicorn popping out the circles in cds. They even showed that their boxes were sealed with the tongues of dead dolphins! The worst sweat shop imaginable and i love it.

Shyne wants off Def Jam

Appearantly Shyne Po is finally coming to terms with the fact that L.A. Reid wants to do nothing to support real hiphop over at Def Jam. He even went on to say that he's trying to get on Cash Money! Here's what he had to say earlier this week in an interview:
"I'm definetly trying to get with Cash Money but the Def Jam thing is a question mark right now," Shyne told SOHH. "I've been fixing to get up out there for a while now because L.A. Reid dont care about hiphop. The people up there, they dont know what they're doing. When you dont have a strong leader, where you gonna go? ... They dont care. You got The Roots, Ghostface, Nas, probably the best hiphop roster you could imagine and they do nothing. L.A. Reid doesnt want nothing to do with rappers. It's nothing personal, I dont have nothing personal with d00d but he makes it known he doesn't care about hiphop."

In my opinion Shyne needs to hurry up and get the ball rolling. He's been out for almost a year and hasnt built up the buzz he desperately needs after doing a 10 year bid for Puff. His vocal tone and delivery of flow havent been up to par as it once was. And he wasnt really getting the attention from 50 Cent that he wanted when he was dissing him earlier this year. I hope the Godfather can regain himself after these recent follies.
